Drug Uses
Supraventricular tachycardia which refers to rhythm disturbance of the heart is treated by using Verapamil. This can also be used for controlling heart rate response to other rhythm disturbances, specifically atrial fibrillation and flutter and could also be used for other complications as prescribed by your doctor.
How Taken
Remember that you must follow the instructions for using Verapamil as directed by your doctor.
Missed Dose
If somehow you missed the dose, then immediately take that dose after you remember. However if you get to the nearby time for next dose, skip taking the Missed Dose and continue with your dose taking schedule. Do remember that you never exceed the intake of dose to compensate you missed dosage previously.
Storage
The storage criteria is that do keep the product away from heat, moisture and light and make sure that the temperature of the place where you will keep the product must be between 59 to 86 °F that means 15 to 30 °C. Make sure that children cannot get in touch with it.

Verapamil may cause dizziness may get worse if Verapamil is taken with alcohol or some other medicines. Remember that you use Verapamil with caution. Never perform any other possible unsafe tasks with this drug. Contact your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse. Verapamil should be used only by the patient for whom it has been prescribed and never take less or more without being prescribed by your doctor.
Warnings/Precautions
Consult your doctor if you have any medical complications before taking Verapamil, especially if you are allergic to medicines or to any component of Verapamil, have had heart failure before including a very slow heart rate, or heart valve disease, having kidney or liver disease, lung congestion, low blood pressure, muscular dystrophy, or neurological disease, or if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant or are breast–feeding and in that situation you should contact your doctor immediately. Discuss the merits and demerits of using Verapamil while you are pregnant. Verapamil is found in breast milk. Never breast–feed the baby while taking Verapamil. Certain medicines may have an interaction with Verapamil drug. Thus, let your doctor know of all prescription or nonprescription medicines, herbals, or diet supplements that you have been taking. Never take Verapamil for Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome (WPW) or Lown–Ganong–Levine syndrome (LGL) or if you are taking dofetilide or eletriptan. Verapamil may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting, fever and may increase these effects. In order to avoid them, sit up or stand slowly, especially in the morning. Make sure that you keep all necessary doctor and lab appointments ready. Elder patients might require a lower dose because they might be more sensitive to the effects of Verapamil. Verapamil should not be used in children because safety and effectiveness in children have not been confirmed yet.
